HD Telecine First for AUstrlaia - Super 8 & 8 mm FXF HD Film Transfers

HD telecine is about to launch in an Australian first for Frame-by-frame film transfers. Avid Tech will launch it's long anticipated premium film transfer service using a new HD technology that scans at an astounding 3.1 mega pixels and a CMOS sensor that is capable of true 4.2.2 colour depth (DV is 4.1.1). High Definition output options include 720p DVD and 1080i Blu-ray BD Discs. So what's the big deal when you read silly statements like High Definition "Optics" you may think it si something special, it isn't. True HD Frame-by-frame telecine is only available from Australia's telecine innovation company Avid Tech DVD Transfer Centre located in Wonthaggi Victoria Australia. To compare telecine quality there are 3 types of telecine scanning heads in common use: Single Chip 4/2" CCD resolution 400.000 pixels 720 x 576 PAL TV Lines 500/550 3CCD Pro Chip 1/3" CCD resolution 1.200.000 pixels 720 x 576 PAL TY Lines 800 Broadcast is 800 Avid Tech HD CMOS 1.27" resolution 2.980.000 pixels 1920 x 1440 PAL HD TV Lines 1440 Broadcast is 1080 Exciting colour depth and crispness never thought possible with FXF HDZI frame by frame film scanning has stunning colour response and crispness even when down converted to 720p DVD due to the unique uncompressed data capture method with data through put almost twice that of RANK Turbo. 470 megabytes per second or 61 gigabytes per hour of captured uncompressed HD jpeg from still frames captured one frame at a time for the ultimate telecine transfer of small format home movies of the Super 8 & 8mm plus 16mm film stock to DVD at 720p or to Blu-ray at full 1080i. Avid Tech DVD Transfer Centre was established in 2003 with one work printer machine and quickly grew to 4 DV8 True Frame by frame telecine machine.
